1. General Policy
The Makeup and Beauty Festival ("MBF", "we", "us", or "our") plans events and allocates services, capacity, promotion, and resources based on confirmed payments. For that reason, payments are generally final and non-refundable except in the specific circumstances below or where a refund is required by Nigerian law. This policy applies to payments made through makeupfestivals.com or another payment channel expressly provided by us.
2. Voting Payments
All payments made to cast votes are final and non-refundable once the transaction has been successfully processed and the corresponding votes have been recorded. A vote is a digital participation service and does not guarantee that a contestant will win, advance, receive a title, or achieve any particular result. Dissatisfaction with a result, a change of preference, or an accidental selection is not grounds for a refund.
3. Event Registrations and Tickets
Event registration fees and ticket payments are generally non-refundable, including where an attendee changes their mind, can no longer attend, arrives late, or does not attend. A refund will be considered where required by applicable law or where MBF cancels the event and does not provide an appropriate replacement, rescheduled event, credit, or other lawful remedy. Changes to speakers, programmes, schedules, or venue within the same general location do not by themselves guarantee a refund.
4. Sponsorship, Vendor, and Exhibitor Payments
Sponsorship, vendor, and exhibitor deposits, instalments, cancellation rights, and refunds are governed by the signed agreement, invoice terms, or written booking confirmation applicable to that engagement. Those specific terms take precedence over this general policy where they differ.
5. Duplicate or Technical-Error Payments
If the same intended transaction is charged more than once because of a verified technical or processing error, we will investigate and refund the confirmed duplicate amount where appropriate. Please contact us promptly with the payer's name, payment date, amount, transaction reference, and proof of the duplicate debit. A pending bank authorisation or reversed transaction is not necessarily a completed duplicate charge.
6. Fraudulent or Unauthorised Transactions
Report any suspected fraudulent or unauthorised transaction immediately to your bank or card issuer and to us. We will reasonably cooperate with the payment provider and relevant financial institution. Reports are subject to verification, payment-provider procedures, and applicable law; reporting a transaction does not automatically guarantee a refund from MBF.
7. How to Request a Review
Email [email protected] or call +234 806 370 6614 as soon as possible. Include your full name, contact details, transaction reference, payment date and amount, the service purchased, the reason for your request, and supporting evidence. Do not send full card numbers, PINs, passwords, or one-time passcodes.
We will acknowledge and investigate complete requests within a reasonable period. Approved refunds will ordinarily be returned through the original payment method. Bank or payment-provider processing times are outside our control, and any refund remains subject to the payment provider's procedures.
8. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
